Your main duties are: • To assist team leader in planning and implementing university-wide academic timetables, ensuring clash-free timetables for both students and staff and efficient use of university resources. • To operate timetable software (Syllabus Plus) and its affiliated web systems to ensure timetabling data are collected from academic departments and timetables are published to all students and staff in an accurate and timely manner. • To collaborate with departmental timetabling officers to collect timetable requirements and feedback, ensuring timetable policies are adhered to and exceptions are reported. • To manage programme and module data in the student information system (SITS), and ensure that the teaching activities are timetabled consistently with the information held on SITS. • To process student module enrolment in SITS and ensure that student module records are consistent with the programme structure. • To undertake a proactive role in resolving timetabling issues and conflicting space/time requirements, and identifying space/time clashes and taking preventative actions • To co-ordinate the preparation of timetable data including data transfer from SITS and data rollover from the previous year, working with colleagues from Management Information Technology and Systems office (MITS) and Student Systems and Information Team of Registry. • To co-ordinate the sharing of timetabling data with Campus Management Office (CMO) for the purpose of placing timetable outside the teaching room and for ad-hoc room booking • To respond to quires from students and staff regarding class timetables • Other responsibilities, suitable to the level of position, as assigned by the Team Leader or Head/Deputy Head of Registry.
Position Qualification Requirement Essential: - Bachelor degree, plus 2 years of relevant work experience, or Masters degree - Excellent oral and written skills in English - Excellent communication skills - Experience in data or records management and project management - Ability to maintain high level of accuracy, even when producing work to tight deadlines - Commitment to service and collaboration
Desirable: - Experience of working within a Higher Education environment - Experience of working in an international organization - Experience in the operation or management of a timetabling system
